Cancer Prevention, Biomarkers and Screening Research in China and the United States: Opportunities for Collaboration A Workshop Organized by: Cancer Institute & Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & U.S. National Cancer Institute ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CICAMS, Beijing, China May 9 – 11, 2012 This workshop will convene scientists, clinicians, and government officials to discuss cancer prevention and screening research, including clinical trials of cancer screening, community based cancer screening programs, and biomarker studies. The workshop will review the status of research in these areas in the U.S. and China, and explore possible opportunities for future collaboration. The first day of the workshop will focus on cancer screening and early detection. The second day of the workshop will focus on biomarker studies, which provide important tools for screening, early detection, and cancer prevention in clinical trials and community based screening programs.
